Saturday marks the kick-off of Pride month here in Pittsburgh and we are very excited to partner with Renaissance City Choir to give away a pair of passes to the very FIRST Pride event – their annual Pride Concerts.
Join Renaissance City Choir for our 2019 Pride Concert: A Celebration of our Community of Singers!
We celebrate together, the large and small victories of life.
As the month of June arrives every year, the eyes of land turn to the LGBTQIA+ community as we celebrate pride month. Pride events are held in cities across the globe that call attention to our presence as a community, but also simply celebrate the wonderful, magical beauty of being LGBTQIA+. For this year’s Pride Concert we will bring together music that our community has called on in the past and calls on today to celebrate the fabulous uniqueness who we are as a queer community and as diverse group of individuals.
In addition to stories from our choir members about love, community, supporting one another, and coming out, some of the songs we will sing for you will be “Born This Way,” “We Are Family,” “You Will Be Found,” “Bridge Over Troubled Water,” “Let Me Be a Seal Upon Your Heart,” “Sure on This Shining Night,” and “You Can’t Stop the Beat.”
We will select one winner who will receive a pair of passes to either perfomance. To be eligible you must do the following
Like at least one RCC social media account
Like at least one Pghlesbian social media account.
Finally, leave a comment indicating which accounts you’ve followed and tell us about the song of YOUR Pride story.
We will draw a winner Saturday at noon. You must be 18 to enter. Tickets shall be at Will Call so you will have to give me your contact information privately which I will pass along to RCC. You may be asked to show ID at Will Call.
Good luck to each of you and Happy Pride!
