These posts from Instagram are shared to highlight the cooperation of the Pittsburgh Police Department with Immigration and Customs Enforcement/Department of Homeland Security. On December 17, 2025, Pittsburgh police officers on bodyworn camera footage details the support and assistance they provided when ICE targeted a local man.
It is imperative that the City pass non-cooperation legislation to protect all residents from this vile misconduct.
1hoodpower said “We are especially concerned with the Officer offering to arrest a person who was not being targeted by ICE and have concerns on how officers can use ICE as a pretext to wrongly arrest or detain citizens and observers.”
That’s truth. I watched the extended footage. What struck me was the nonchalant, casual disdain Pittsburgh officers showed repeatedly – making fun of immigrants, mocking ‘internet journalists’, and even saying “Pittsburgh just got a whole lot more interesting” in response to this – their first – callout supporting ICE.
These are disturbing comments. They know their bodyworn cameras are recording and they still say/do these things. That’s either reckless or certainty they won’t experience consequences.
With the impending arrival of the NFL Draft, we know that many, many ‘undesirable’ folx will be involuntarily relocated from Downtown and the North Shore. We know this happens all of the time.
It also seemed the officers were bored so they agreed to take on tasks to help ICE – moving cars, finding misplaced items, and even offering to detain the target’s wife. For kicks? To alleviate the mononity? I felt a vibe of almost eagerness to be helpful. I’m not sure it rises to collusion by the individual officers, but it certainly shows they have more interest in supporting ICE agents than the words of their own command staff and City leaders.
The almost palpable desire to form a bond, to win favor with the ICE agents was disgusting.
All municipal police officers have more in common with ICE agents than they do with you and me. Offering to detail someone’s wife without probable cause is despicable and violent. The women and BIPOC officers in these videos are siding with their own oppressors – that’s mind blowing.
But it is easy to focus on them and forget that they are all willing participants in this systemic violence. They all deserve to be held accountable. They are all living up and down to the reputation of law enforcement everywhere. And its the white cisgender heterosexual men running things.
Where’s the lie?
These officers are supposed to be protecting us, not assisting ICE. That’s not their job. It might be their aspiration, but apply on your own time.
Also, don’t give me any bs about doxxing people. The FOP is like a bad cartoon where Mighty Mouse fights a cat dressed in a cop uniform. We should take them serious because they have more power than any other union in the world, but we should also keep in mind that they are self-serving slugs like the crime lord based on Tatooine.
I’ve been doxxed, cancelled, TERFd, threatened, harassed, humiliated, and smeared by lots of people. The FOP will be okay. In fact, the police of Pittsburgh were not particularly helpful to me when I received a death threat online. You know who was helpful? The people who posted these videos. So I trust them more than I trust any law enforcement agent.
Also publishing public information is not doxxing. But they know that. They got good lawyers.
This is an unacceptable betrayal. How dare you apologize or rationalize this egregious lie. Shame on all of you. These officers deserve every bit of pushback they experience as does the Command staff, the Mayor, City Council, and the FOP.
Shame.
I do have the original footage in case anyone gets this taken down. This footage was obtained through proper channels. It is public information.
