Another update – $250 to reach the goal!

While I still need help with my general Legal and Living Expenses Crowdfund, I have a mini-goal.

Essentially, I need $560 to pay for a mobile video kit and to be Meta verified by Facebook and Instagram.

• Improve videos and draw more traffic to blog to make more sustainable
• My physical disabilities esp hand tremor are a challenge with just using my phone.
• Added benefit of using for outdoor cat videos to help those programs
• The furry thing you put on a microphone to break up the sound of the wind is called a “dead cat” and how can I not need that? #GallowsHumor

Meta Verification for Facebook and Instagram

• Access to a live person to address problems, I have a lot of problems because of my content
• Harassers and threats increasing
• Interviewees have expressed wanting the peace of mind of the blue check when I reach out to them with a cold ask.
• This is especially true for families of those I memorialize who deserve any comfort possible during a terrible loss.

The total for the mini-goal is $560 and I’ve received $160 so far, so just $400 to go.

I’m trying to plan for the next phase of my life. The blog is funded out of my pocket, something I won’t be able to afford after the divorce, at least not at first. So everything I can do to enhance its self-sufficiency or sustainability is important. I spend at least $350/month to blog. That’s a huge chunk.
