Certification of Don’t Ask, Do’t Tell Repeal

I am not sure I’ll be able to update this afternoon but pay attention to the gay media folks today … it is a big one.

Metro Weekly, Wall Street Journal and other news outlets are reporting that the Pentagon is going to certify the plan to repeal DADT TODAY.

If the Pentagon certifies the repeal, then President Obama’s certification will be the final step.

60 days later, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell will no longer be the law of the land.  That could be September 20, 2011.

No official word on when the President plans to act but Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Admiral Mullen, Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff are set to meet with him this afternoon.

Could be a good day toward equality.

Follow the tweets this afternoon.  Probably hashtag of #DADT?
