Good news – we raised enough funds to make sure ‘Roman Brady’ has dog food for six months. We’ll use autoship, have it delivered to our pantry, and a helper will deliver using their own safety plans. It is not illegal to donate to support your neighbors. We hope you trust us to be smart, draw on our experiences, and collaborate. We are collaborating with Animal Friends, Human Animal Rescue, and Paws Across Pittsburgh as well as many individuals.
The food Roman Brady eats is regularly donated so we should be able to support him (and his family) for the rest of the year.
The thing about monies raised for whistle kits is that it is flowing back into the community doing the work. Folx with 3D printers. Paper printers producing flyers, cards, handouts, often only for the cost of paper. Covering the actual bags, the key rings. Excess goes to help families with supplies, rent, etc.
We have an opportunity to assemble an additional 1,000 kits. We have some supplies, but we need others.
We need to raise $350 to make this happen.
We’ve got Biscuit Bingo coming up a week from Saturday with 600 people plus volunteers. OUTrageous Bingo has 500 people plus a stash for Shepherd Wellness Community. I have individuals requests, too.
And we are trying to get kits or partial kits to food bistros in the region through Food Not Bombs. We are also sending pet food.
It is a lot.
