Welcome to week 2 of our latest feature!
There’s so much going on that sometimes it feels overwhelming to find the details, sift through the logistics, roll up your sleeves and get involved. Volunteers with local Indivisible chapters and other froups work regularly to compile and distribute each week as do other organizers. I am not identifying those folx by name to give them some privacy. But this is the work of many other people.
I want to help so I offered to post that content on my blog every Wednesday. I will also add events from other sources (and note the source.) I removed the candidate canvassing and events that may not benefit from being listed here. Fundraisers will not be included unless they are attached to an event or action.
If you would like to get on the weekly email list directly from Indivisible, reach out to me and I’ll put you in touch. I expect this will morph beyond Indivisible alone and likely to regional events.
You may not agree with content or how I make decisions about content. I encourage you – with all sincerity – to create your own spaces to share the information you find relevant. That could be your socials, your own website, Slack, Signal, email lists, or flyering.
I am going to share this post on my social media accounts. My Instagram and Facebook following are growing so quickly that I cannot keep up with moderation (this is a one person shop) so there will be haters on those forums. People yell at me all of the time about this, but honestly – it is the price we pay to use those platforms.
So a huge thanks to Indivisible for their work. Equally huge thanks to the everyday neighbors doing everyday actions to save all of us. This is my small contribution to the work.
This list is meant to be helpful, not exhaustive nor official. Just trying to help folx find information.
Typos are on me.

Engage Elected Officials
- Say NO to any tax cuts to Medicaid, SNAP.
- Demand that your Senators fight any cuts to these two programs. There are others you may well want to include- countless programs that working families rely on.
Then…
- Say NO to the SAVE Act (S128)
“This bill is designed to do one thing: weaponize red tape to suppress our votes. It targets everyday people with confusing rules and paperwork traps that make it harder – and in some cases impossible – to cast a ballot.” Common Cause
- Call your Senators! Encourage others to do the same.
- Ramifications/talking points of S128:
- Prove your citizenship – again: Even for lifelong voters, if you move across town, change your last name when getting married, or switch parties, you’d have to provide your passport or birth certificate with your current legal name – in person at your local elections office – just to stay registered.
- Get stuck in long lines: Election officials would face impossible workloads, causing confusion and delays.
- Lose your right to vote – without warning: If outdated records can’t verify your status, you could be purged from the rolls without even knowing it.
- Ramifications/talking points of S128:
Members of Congress Contacts:
- Find your Representative here: https://www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative
- Senators:
- John Fetterman: Pittsburgh – (412) 803-3501, Washington DC – (202) 224-4254, Erie – (814) 453-3010, Harrisburg – (717) 782-395, Phila office (215) 241-1090;
- Dave McCormick: (202) 224-6324
- For outside PA: Find your senators’ phone numbers and emails here. : https://www.senate.gov/senators/senators-contact.htm
Prepare to VOTE.
