Locally, Puttshack Sponsored Pridefest and Has a Month Long Promotion Supporting ‘It Gets Better’

We spend a lot of our time pointing out the corporate entities who cowed to the Trump Administration’s vicious mandates around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, especially Pride. So here’s a little about one company that is sponsoring Pride events by donating a percentage of profits during June.

Puttshack Pittsburgh is partnering once again with the It Gets Better Project, a national nonprofit dedicated to uplifting, empowering, and connecting LGBTQ+ youth.

From June 1–30, Puttshack will donate 20% of all 9-hole mini golf games booked through www.puttshack.com/pride to support It Gets Better’s mission. Whether you’re planning a team outing, family night, or weekend adventure, your visit helps make a real impact.

“Our company purpose is to bring everyone in to play, and we’re excited to continue our partnership with It Gets Better—an organization that shares our spirit of inclusion, connection, and celebration,” said Susan Walmesley, Puttshack CMO/COO.

“At Puttshack Pittsburgh, we’re not just creating fun—we’re creating belonging.”

Creating belonging is new language for me. How does it resonate with you? I’m heading over to Puttshack Pittsburgh with some friends on Friday evening to check it out for myself (and for their feedback, too.)

Locally, Puttshack Pittsburgh is also a proud sponsor of Pittsburgh Pride 2025. Their press releases says “We’re honored to stand alongside our neighbors in the Strip District and the greater Pittsburgh community to celebrate love, self-expression, and unity.”

Beyond June, Puttshack Pittsburgh remains dedicated to championing diverse voices, fostering community, and showing up for local causes that matter.

I am terrible at miniature golf, but I have fun. I like to play with other people who remember it is just a game, cheating is sometimes okay, and don’t weaponize either the club or the ball. It certainly feels good to spend that time in a space that doesn’t weaponize my identity.

Also, Puttsburgh is the first place to reach out to me on Instagram where I am officially a mid-level management influencer with 54.3 k followers. If you are curious about the venue, follow along Friday on Instagram for a mid-level management live perspective. And of course I’ll disclose that I’m receiving complimentary rounds of golf, dinner, and drinks for my time.
