Morning Things – Feeding the Backyard Cats

This is what we get to do each day – morning and night – we have two feral cats in our yard named Oksana and Mx Pajamas. They wait at the back door like little dogs.

In this clip, our occasional guest Tommy is waiting. He was curled up in a little ball when I first went outside. It was damn cold. Mixxie won’t allow him near the feeding sation so I keep a dish at the end of the sidewalk for Tommy and other occasionals. As soon as I saw he was there, I pillaged the resident cat’s food supply to take a can out for him (and the other two) to get some calories into him.

I’ve tried to trap Tommy many times. We have no idea where he sleeps, eats, or hangs out. I found evidence that some critters are using our extra shelters so maybe that includes him?

Your cat food donations help Tommy and other community cats who do not have a home. Oksana and Mx have a pretty good set up, but they do not like to share.
