I’m struggling to blog something other than pet food, personal updates, and memorials. I am glad there are no more memorial to write for now. I hope that continues.

But very big things are happening in our world. Iran defeated the United States in a war. The President is just clearly not fit on even new levels. ICE is obtaining arrest warrants for legal observers. The brave detainees at the Delaney Hall concentration camp continue to demand justice. Ukraine landed a decisive blow against Russia.

So rather than dwell on my inability to create some comprehensible content, I’m gong to share links from other LGBTQ folx.

Over at The Present Age, Parker Molloy explores the impact of a UK law defining a pro-Palestinian organization as a terror group and anyone who supports that group can be arrested.

More than 3,300 people have been arrested across the UK since the ban, according to Amnesty International. Terror-related arrests jumped 660% year over year, and 86% of them were tied to supporting Palestine Action. A law written for terrorists, used mostly on pensioners with poster board.

Supporting Palestinians and those who support Palestinians is not criminal conduct. Vandalism is. We don’t need to pile on to hold people accountable for their literal actions. And we definitely don’t need to criminalize protesting.

Erin Reed at Erin in the Morning takes a closer look at a Florida case Intersex Teacher Fired in Florida After Parent Falsely Claims He Is Trans, ACLU Says. This story highlights the evolving complexity of gender identity as well as an outdated and cruel attempt to shove everyone into a binary.

Along those lines, Chris Geidner at Law Dork explains how recent court rulings on the Trump Administration efforts to end gender-affirming medical care for transgender people in federal prison have been unfolding. Woe are those who say “I don’t care about prisoners” because they have not learned from history.

At The 19th, Orion Rummler assesses why Republicans’ views of same-sex couples are now similar to what they were between 2005 and 2014.
