I am proud to support Summer Lee for Congress in the Pennsylvania Primary.
She’s been proactive with engaging the LGBTQ community since I first met her in 2017. And she’s never stopped advocating, creating a better world, and holding us all accountable for doing the same. She fearlessly challenges institutions that try to hold her (and us) back, but she’s not tilting at windmills. She’s rolling up her sleeves and doing important work.
Summer is the progressive Democrat we all need in Congress – she’s smart and strategic, she understands the intersections of our identities and our issues. She maintains a real connection with her district residents; as an elected official that makes her more ‘us’ than ‘them’ and that’s very powerful. We need elected officials who recognize that their authority to govern stems from the power of the people.
