It is okay, even though it’s not

It is okay, even though it is not.

It is okay if you are upset about a milestone that will be missed, be it your prom or your family reunion or Easter dinner with your family.

It is okay if you feel resentment about having to show up for your work instead of being home with your family.

It is okay if you are anxious about your hair growing because you have missed several hair appointments, its okay if that hair growth makes you feel uncomfortable or awkward or self-conscious during video meetings.

It is okay if you wish you had a paying job to show up for instead of being home with your family and no income.

If it okay if are angry and frustrated with neighbors, coworkers, and general members of the public who do not take precautions seriously.

If it okay if you are confused by the data, charts, science, and overwhelmed by the conflicting reports.

It is okay if you only have a handkerchief to use as a mask.

It is okay if you are angry that people still have faith in President Trump.

It is okay if you fear that people will not acknowledge the economic, social, and racial justice fissures that have been here all along and worsened by the pandemic.

It is okay if you miss your favorite bartender.

It is okay if you are quarantined alone or with a large amount of people. There’s no ideal way to be quarantined.
