Pittsburgh was also mentioned in this piece Amazon Search for HQ2 Linked to LGBT Rights? from the Washington Blade

The New Pittsburgh Courier reprinted an op-ed from Roz Edward, Michigan Chronicle Managing Editor disputing the notion that Black Christians were leveraged against LGBTQ rights in the Alabama Senate race.

The Courier also ran a blistering inditement of Roy Moore’s homophobic comments about the openly gay son of Doug Jones.

Pittsburgh native and Vanderbilt student Stephanie Wang is writing a regular series profiling the faculty members involved in the LGBT Policy Lab.

Pittsburgh has lost another openly LGBTQ voice among local media as Deanna Garcia has departed WESA to join the communications team at The Pittsburgh Foundation. This is a significant blow for our community which now has only one openly LGBTQ journalist with a mainstream outlet (David Highfield at KDKA.) The bright spot is having another openly LGBTQ voice in the Foundation world and we wish Deanna all the best – she’s been a tremendous bright spot and important voice for LGBTQ folks and so much more.
