Our blog is honored to have been nominated six times in the 2014 GLBT Readers Choice Awards sponsored by Keystone Alliance and Gaylife Newsletter.  The semi-final voting round continues through February 28, followed by a final round of voting during March.

SemiFinal

I’m really happy to see Trish nominated for her excellent contributions to this blog. I’d love for you to vote for her and promote trans voices in the blogging community.

I don’t know all of the nominees, but a few stand out to me

Humanitarian of the Year – The people of Southwestern Pennsylvania, LGBTQ and allies. (For donating to the Winter Gear Drive during such a harsh, harsh winter.) Also, The staff and performers at the Blue Moon for their work in support of the GLCC (these are touching.)

It is really touching each year to be recognized by the public, especially in categories like “Person of the Year.” That means a lot, after eight years of blogging. It truly is nice just to be nominated.
