How can your landlord legally prevent you from getting your own stuff? Western Avenue has a half dozen lawyers' offices -- why aren't they helping this man. After all, you would think professional offices would WANT a florist nearby to help improve the block. It is nice to bring him vases, but I think a lawyer could donate an hour to make a few phone calls to do the right thing. I cannot imagine if all my memories burned up. I would want at least a chance to find something even if I had to dig through the ashes with my bare hands. Isn't some lawyer running for Magistrate? Sure sounds like he is missing an opportunity to garner some public goodwill.
