I disagree. Attendance of a former board member (actually three if you count me) is not the same thing as active participation from those organizations who are sponsoring the event. Lending your name to a political fundraiser event involves a bit more. At the very least, the one board member in attendance should have been recognized and it appears no one from Gertrude Stein showed up at all. Heck, a board member should have been emceeing the event. Why bother sponsoring it at all? Don't invite the bloggers if you don't expect people to notice these things.
