I watched it and found it fairly intriguing as an event, even if I didn't think the questions were particularly probing ones. I did think the majority of the candidates made a real effort to actually answer what they were asked, which is rare, and I thought the format gave them a lot better way to explain themselves than the one minute answers they're given in debates. ... If it makes anyone feel better about locally politics (not that it should), I am glad to be a proud new (and queer) member of the mayor's Propel Pittsburgh commission, confirmed by the City Council and all. We haven't had a first meeting yet, but when we do, trust me, I intend to put some of the local queer issues on the table..... and seek feedback/ ideas from the various queer local forums.
