Unfortunately the opening night isn't just The Gymnast, they're also running John Cameron Mitchell's Shortbus the very same night, at the same time, at the same venue. I really want to see Shortbus and doubt it'll be back...ughgh, what to do....

Although the more I read about both the more I want to see Shortbus over The Gymnast. The Gymnast looks like a remake of When Night is Falling, which is a breathtakingly gorgous movie, one of the best lesbian films I've ever seen.

Actually Shortbus will be at the Southside Works starting the week after the festival. So go see The Gymnast!

Shortbus was very masculine centric in its perspective. There was not so much women's sexuality present (trans or nontrans) and no lesbians getting it on at all.
