James Harrison did not apologize for using a gay slur. He didn’t man up and say “It is a hurtful word and I shouldn’t have used it”
Instead he blamed it on slang.
“I also need to make clear that the comment about Roger Goodell was not intended to be derogatory against gay people in any way,” Harrison said. “It was careless use of a slang word, and I apologize to all who were offended by the remark. I am not a homophobic bigot, and I would never advocate intolerance of gay people.”
This from the guy who says fines he receives from hard hits are intended to be personal attacks on him and not enforcement of the rules. Whine, whine whine.
Today, Ron Cook does acknowledge the slur, but glosses over the nonapology and then wonders why Goodell and the League will be watching Harrison closely.
Cause he’s a liar.
